The purpose of the Dot Diva initiative is to create an exciting and attractive image of computing for college bound high school girls, ages 14-18. Our nationwide survey revealed that not only do girls think of computing as “boring” and “hard,” but they believe it fails to deliver two crucial values: “working with others” and “making a difference in other people’s lives.” Our mission is to transform this negative perception of computing. Tickets to this event are free and will be provided on a first-come basis. All attendees will be required to complete a release form and will not be allowed to participate without a completed form.
